Privacy policy

Earn. has no account and no server. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or any third-party code. What Earn. knows stays on your iPhone and in your own backups. GRYD cannot see it.

When you exercise, Earn. uses the front camera to count reps and holds. Each frame is analysed on your iPhone by Apple’s body-pose detection and then discarded. No photo or video is saved or sent anywhere.

If you allow it, Earn. reads your step count so your steps earn screen time. It reads nothing else and writes nothing to Health. Health data stays on your iPhone and is never used for advertising or shared.

With your permission, Earn. uses Apple’s Screen Time to block the apps you choose on your own iPhone and to measure the minutes you spend in them. Apple gives Earn. your selection as private tokens, so Earn. does not see a list of the apps you use.

Your settings, today’s balance, steps and used minutes, your exercise sessions (type, time, reps or seconds, minutes earned), favourite exercises, your app selection, daily summaries, when you paused or changed protection, and a short log of recent Screen Time events. Records older than 120 days are deleted automatically.

This data is included in your iPhone or iCloud backup if you have backups turned on, under your Apple settings.

Spoken counts are made by your iPhone’s own voice. Earn. never uses the microphone. Notifications are local and stay on your iPhone.

Settings › Delete all data removes your balance, history, settings and app selection. While protection is on, deletion waits until midnight, so the rules cannot be skipped early. Deleting the app also deletes its data. You can withdraw camera, Health and Screen Time access at any time in iOS Settings.

Earn. sells nothing today. If purchases are added, they will go through the App Store, and Apple will handle the payment.

Earn. is for managing your own screen time on your own iPhone. It is not a parental control app and is not made for children under 13.

When you email support@gryd.no, we use your address and message only to help you, and keep them only as long as the conversation needs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you, and object to or restrict its use. Because the app keeps your data on your iPhone and not with us, you can see and delete it yourself in the app. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.

If Earn. ever starts to handle data differently, we will update this policy before the change ships and change the date at the top.
